I live in the US and am considering making an Ebay purchase of a $60 electronic item from a guy in Canada.
Are there any import duties, or am I just looking at the cost of the item plus shipping?
OT: US Tariff/Duty on purchase from Canada?

I am in Canada, and we order from the US regularly, if it is shipped USPS, they hand over to Canada Post there are usually no extra charges. UPS is usually good, Fedex is brutal for the duties, and extra charges. It probably works the same in reverse as well, but no guarantees.

Should be no duty - possibly sales taxes. Parcel post you will likely not get hit for anything. (free trade means virtually no duties)
UPS I find to be BRUTAL coming North - have been told a whole lot better going south. Postal delivery is the best, particularly for small items.
Never had a problem with UPS, which isn't to say it cant happen, just good luck here, but postal is the preferred method by far.
Thanks for all the info-- but the item has now been bid-up past what I'm willing to pay for it :-(
