Thankfully with two cups a day I'm only one third demented.

How big is your cup?

I haven't even read the article and I believe the first line.

Just once have I drunk that much. In college I thought if other people can do an all-nighter, so can I. After 4 or 5, maybe 6 cups, I felt sick. Too sick to study. Wether my brain was permanently shrunk I do not know, but sometimes I feel some rattling when I jump around. The doctor said they could inject some insulation foam to take care of that, but it would require drilling a hole. I'm not sure what to do. I think it makes a good home-repair question and when I get more details, I'll ask here.

This beauty makes 3 quarts of the best cold brew I've ever had.

If I drank 6 cups of my cold brew in 1 day my brain would probably shrink enough to drop through my neck and into my gut.

Well many of the young ladies over these years have not been taught that. Regarding "the brain. I'm sorry.

Official cup measurement is 8 oz.

Only one example in that picture is 8oz, Not the 12 cup coffee pot (5.3oz) nor any but the "little girl tea party" cup.

I doubt anyone actually drinks an 8 oz cup of coffee unless it is espresso, basically 2 or 3 times as strong as regular coffee.

When I was working nights I was drinking at least a quart of coffee (2

16oz 7-11 cups) and usually more like a quart and a half or two. Everyone wants to give you a cup of coffee. I finally just quit completely for about a year but pretty soon I fell off the wagon. That Buccaneers cup in the picture was the one I had in my office before I retired. I downsized to the green one after I retired but now I rarely drink any coffee at all.

I don't really notice much difference either way.

I gave the official definition of the cup, a unit that is mostly used in cooking. Just checked my coffee cup against measuring cup in kitchen and it is 8 oz. I drink 2 cups a day but had been using a coffee cup that was actually 16 oz. and doctor said that was a not a good idea as too much coffee can lead to dehydration and constipation.

I am addicted to caffeinated coffee as if I do not have it I get a minor headache and just don't feel right in the morning. It is not a harmful addiction and you have to drink something at breakfast. If I drink it at dinner I have trouble sleeping so avoid it.

I drink two 20-ounce cups in the morning. Three of those have a diuretic action. YMMV.

I'm not so sure. It has the opposite effect on me and I'm not the only one, considering how many coffee mugs emblazoned with "Coffee Makes Me Poop" are available for sale on the web.

Probably a happy medium which varies from person to person.

My offishul made in Chiner NRA coffee cup is 16 ounces. I don't recall how I got two but the other one is at work.

It comes in handy for interviews. I'm left handed so the logo faces out. I don't want potential employees to have misconceptions of what sort of red neck they'll be working for.

With one guy, who I did hire, the conversation got derailed by a discussion of his attempts to reload for his .50 BMG Barrett.

'The' should be added to this sentence before 'brain' as a 'determiner'.

Recalled a Chinese coworker that just drank hot water in the morning. Maybe coffee was not needed.

It is supposed to have some benefits and be relaxing. Can also relieve congestion. I'd rather have a cup of tea.

I was a fan of Dr. Demento, does that help me? I never drank coffee but loved coffee ice cream, how does that rate; besides being fattening?

The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup?

Maxwell House, good to the last drop?

I am getting hyped up while losing my brain. What could go wrong?

I had someone tell me that coffee was introduced in the workplace to get everyone amped up and better productivity?

Coffee or Covfefe?

My Mom used to say if you drink hot water you will poop. I don't like hot water so the premise was never tested...

Coffee was my mother's favorite. During a family road trip to Seattle in the early '50s she was appalled to find the left coast savages didn't have the flavor.

My downfall came in Wyoming iirc after I fished a bottle of creme soda out of one of those gas station vending machines where you put in a nickle and worked the bottle out of the labyrinth. Boy, did that stuff suck. Even when I was introduced to Dr Pepper during a trip to the Deep South I found it more palatable.
