So obnoxious. Why should she think it's a weapon when it's meant for defense. They should have confiscated them until the end of the day and told her not to bring them back (although that might be where they are needed the most, or to and from school)
And this "Tampa police say three stun-guns have still not been located at this time. " Why should they possibly be trying to locate them? AFAIk they're legal** and they're not at school. So none of the poices's business.
And it has a flashlight too!

**But I bet they are legal in Florida. They're legal here to but maybe something about shipping them or controling who buys one. "Maryland's Restrictions on Possession of Electronic Control Devices. If you're 18 or older, you may possess a stun gun or Taser in Maryland unless you've been convicted of a violent crime (such as rape, murder, and certain assaults) or one of the state's laws on controlled dangerous drugs."
"The Baltimore City Council voted 14-1 Monday to legalize stun gun possession by city residents, a move that came in response to a federal court ruling. The measure allows a person to "possess and use an electronic control device as a form of non-lethal self-defense in the home and in public."May 15, 2017"
