Are any of those diesel (I know the 8N isn't) ? That was one of the reasons I chose the Yanmar I bought . It's size was also a factor .

3 cylinder diesel was an option on the MF35, my friend has one in daily use on his small farm. We replaced the clutch in it a number of years back but that has been the only major work done to it in the decade or more that I’ve known him.

By any chance does the ID plate on that motor start with "3TR" ? It would be on the left side near the rear and towards the bottom of the block if what I'm thinking is correct . Several small tractor manufacturers used Yanmar engines ... JD 850 and 950 models were some of the more prominent .

I didn't see any of those at yesterday's sale, but here's a few others < note Canadian dollars > :

The DB 770 is a 3 cyl deisel as is the MF35 Perkins.

PERKINS - british deisel manufacturer. A 4cyl version was used in Commer and Bedford trucks - and a LOT of industrial equipment.(JCB, Vermeer, some Ford, some Alfa and Opel vehicles,London taxis, and Mazda built ones used in some rangers, etc.

The 135 is an updated version of the 35 - same 3 cyl deisel engine family
