OT. Medicare Supplement Insurance Ads

The problem with Obamacare; young, healthy people whose premiums are expected to cover the claims of the not-so-healthy aren't going to sign up unless you put a gun to their head.

That is the funniest thing I have heard in a very long time, considering it's coming from a troll who says things like...

"We won't have to worry about that after we round up leftists and eradicate them. ... Round 'em up, cart them off to predetermined points around the country, eliminate them once and for all. "

and...

"This will be rectified when people finally wake up, round up the Leftists and ship them to predetermined locations around the country where they can then be exterminated."

and...

"The solution to this is to eradicate the American Left. Round 'em up and exterminate them. Death squads would also be effective"

I really don't think you have the right to be making comments about whether or not someone else believes in violence. Of course, your comments are just a bunch of bullshit. You'll be running away with your tail between your legs as soon as any type of violence starts. Fucking wimp.

I have a UHC plan that is NOT an advantage plan. Same benefits micky describes.

Whew! Hittting on all 3 cylinders: accused of fraud by whistle-blower, Accused of fraud by U.S. government. Overbilled, according to Inspector General

Buy that's the advantage plan. UHC has both, and I don't have that one. Still, I'll keep my eyes open. Did you see the thread where I thought the hospital which failed to do what they said still put in a Medicare claim? I called Medicare and they had not.

We have Advantage plans. I don't make much use of medical services; my husband does a little more. It seems to work very much like the health insurance we had when we were working. So far, so good.

That's pretty much the way insurance works: healthy people subsidize unhealthy people. I've spent thousands of dollars on insurance and have reaped hundreds of dollars in return. Knock wood, that situation continues.

All we got now is working people paying for their own insurance AND picking up the tab for the welfare people. Tax tax tax!

So when is your hero Biden going to fix the obamacare mess?

Not only will your health change but, if you do not look out from year to year, your plan may change.

ROFL. Right, it's only GOP politicians that all the companies that do business with the government contribute to, lobby and have in their pockets.

You mean like tRump did? Here's the history of his healthcare bullshit:

“Together we’re going to deliver real change that once again puts Americans first. That begins with immediately repealing and replacing the disaster known as Obamacare … You’re going to have such great health care, at a tiny fraction of the cost—and it’s going to be so easy.” — Campaign rally in Florida, October, 2016

“It’s an unbelievably complex subject. Nobody knew that health care could be so complicated.” — Meeting with governors at White House, February 28, 2017

Anybody remember his multiple "2 week" promises and then his decision to just stop trying and let Obama care fail? "2017 is going to be a disaster." I must have missed that particular disaster.

Whatever he's doing, it looks legit and it's out in the open. Unlike the Biden family dealings with Burisma and far worse China. Or Hunter taking up painting and selling them for $400K while his father is president. The WH had an answer for how that's not what it obviously is, they said that the purchasers will remain anonymous, so Joe doesn't know. ROFL. It's exactly backwards, those purchasers should be fully disclosed so that we can see who the hell it is that's using this sham as a vehicle to put more money into the Biden's pockets to buy influence.

Also noted, here you are again bitching about a Republican doing some TV commercials, while ignoring what the Biden family has been up to that really is despicable and likely criminal. Always after a Republican, never any Democrats. Try being an American once in a while.

About the same time as when we see Trump put forth the healthcare solution he claimed to have when running. The one with low premiums, coverage for pre-existing conditions and no mandate. Anyone with an IQ above room temp knew that was a lie. Of course Trump never put it or any plan at all forth.

Good summary. I also remember him giving an interview in the summer before the 2020 election where he again promised that his miracle healthcare plan that we had not seen for three and a half years was going to be put out in just a few more weeks. Incredible the lies he can tell and how his followers still believe and support him.

Health care is sort of like the Ponsie thing. Healthy people (mainly the younger people) do most of the paying for the older people, One day the younger people become the older people and get the benefits. Almost like social security. You pay in and if you live long enough you get some money back.

When I was 18 I took out a $ 5000 life insurance policy that gave me that back with some extra when I reached 62. Had I put in the same amount in investments I would have had more. Had I died someone would have received the $ 5,000.

Yeah, I think I've sent State Farm enough money to buy one of those top shelf Mustangs. My latest fiasco was covered by Workman's Comp but I'm probably behind on the health ledger too.

When I talked to my employer I told them I didn't think Workman's Comp would cover my fall but their attitude was 'we pay a lot of money in. If you can get something out of it that's a good thing.'

Most years it's just my 'free' annual checkup.

All insurance is socialism when you get right down to it, with the costs spread over the community. However the medical industry has too much power so it's never going to be socialism done right. There's too much money to be made.

Max Baucus (D) was our Senator and one of the principal architects of Obamacare. Single payer was a non-starter and he followed the script provided by his pals in the industry. Maxie got an ambassadorship, thankfully getting him out of our state, and his aide got a plum job in Big Pharma,

Voluntary communism. The only kind that works, really.

Not in our lifetimes, certainly. It would take a _huge_ upheaval in American society to make the switch.

You're channeling Tom Mabe, one of the best at the game of turning the tables on phone scammers. Youtube probably has all of his work. I especially liked the one where he asked the caller for help in getting a very large and very wet blood stain out of his rug, implying that he had just killed someone. Or the one where he got the woman on the phone to talk dirty to him.

The U.S. isn't a democracy. However I would not expect a Communist stooge such as yourself to comprehend that.

One place that the violence inherent in any government action is justified is defense. The Left is the mortal enemy of virtually every principle the United States was founded on and is an existential danger to the Constitution, our Republican form of government, and our way of life. During the Cold War the Communist threat was primarily external. Today it is internal. (Senator McCarthy was right!) Therefore, unlike involvement in health care, it is within the legitimate purvue of government to develop and implement a final solution to the problem posed by the Left.

The Left is very much like a cancer. You can beat it back temporarily but as long as there are any Leftists (cancer cells) remaining it comes back with a vengeance. You don't debate with cancer, you don't argue with cancer, and you don't compromise with cancer. Like the cancer it emulates, the Left needs to be utterly and totally eradicated to ensure the country's health and well-being. This is the reality that an ever-growing number of people are realizing every day.

It's partly the news and everyone else saying, "The dems, or the reps, controll the house and the senate." They really should stop saying that. With only 50 Dem senators 2 of whom are from conservative states and who won't vote for many things, the Dems can't pass them. So much for "control". You'll see the same thing with the new so-called Republican House, to a lesser degree because they have iirc 5 votes to spare, instead of none like the Senate has been or 4 like iirc the house has been during the past two years.

Nobody knew! Stumpie didn't know. Probably no one at Mar a Lago knew. The Democrats on the committee, and even the Republicans knew, and half or more of Congress knew. But no one trump knew knew. Or some did know and he's lying.

The Republicans never even came up with a replaceent plan, and they've had almost 2 yeas under Biden and they still have not.
