I am assuming you are looking for the A/C and or heat thermostat. Is that correct?
What kind of heat do you have? Are there thermostats in other rooms? What do they look like?
unless you have some sort of centralized system the temperature sensor is part of the thermostat.
They are often near eye level and adjacent to the door of the room.
imho:
Might want to contact the builder, since a thermostat would be easy to find (a typical one).

Every room does not have a thermostat. It depends on how many "zones" are installed. The amount of heat to each register is then usually controlled by some type of louver.
Under the covers. Try putting your cold feet up against your wife and see what happens.
