Sorry to hear. Similar thing happened to my wife last year. In spite of seat belt and air bags she had three or four cracked ribs with 3 days in the hospital then rehab at home. She could have gone to nursing home rehab but chose home. That lasted a few weeks. She quit driving.

I was in three accidents where car was totaled and because of seat belts and air bag just got a few bumps and bruises.

Proper equipment makes a difference. No blood, no stitches, so that is a big plus.

Now that I'm home, they come to the house for PT and will until the doctor says OK. I can drive, but need the walker to get to and from so that has to be folded and loaded by me if alone.

I've had cracked ribs at least 3 times. The first time, they wrapped me up pretty tight. For the times after that, they just said to go home and take it easy.

I've never cracked a femur, but I broke my pelvis in 3 places once. That wasn't much fun at all.

No doubt there are several separate manuals for the infotainment system, the safety electronics/radar/camera system, the warranty by state and lemon law coverage and one with the recommended service intervals.

I forget which one has the "Do Not Drink the Battery Acid" warning. If you keep all of them in the car, it will cost you a mile or two per gallon ;-)

Oh, I can't just get in and drive. The book says to check to see if the windows are covered with snow and remove that first. Of course, I follow the manual even if it takes me an extra couple of minutes to do in my garage on a 90 degree day.

Thanks for the correction! I sure did mean Angela Alsobrooks. I confused the two because Alsobrooks previously held the job that Braveboy has at present (Prince George County Executive). I probably wouldn't have made that mistake if I lived in PG county. I'm in Montgomery County.
