That's likely because your unit has the newer seals and door vent. The seal has a drain in the bottom which takes care of the water. In the older units, the water would collect in the bottom of the seal causing problems.

That's how all class action suits work, they lawyers get rich(er), the defendant company gets an easy out and the class gets a coupon that is of no value unless they give the same defendant company more money.
The exception to this pattern is of course if some politicians think they can get political points from the suit and then the defendant company gets lynched even if they're innocent.
