Everything I see is 80. HD has a custom option but it is close to 1700 bucks, fiberglass with long oval window. Are there cheaper doors in 78? 18702 zip ne PA.

Is this for the front entry? In a pre-hung you may not find anything. In a plain door, buy the 80" and trim it. Any competent carpenter can trim, mortise hinges and cut holes for locks. Its a couple hours work.
You'll have to buy a slab, not prehung. The manufacturer will have a spec for how much can be trimmed -- typically it's 1/2" top and 1" to
1-1/2" bottom. Finding one with the latter would get you right at the 2" overall. It is possible if you've got the skill and tools to trim more and then refill the hollow, but you have to have the ability to trim and size a filler and get it in the end...
One cheaper albeit more effort alternative is to just redo the overall opening and go back to a standard height prehung unit.
Exterior doors aren't usually hollow core. They are solid core doors for security and sound proofing advantages. Therefore, there isn't a need for a filler when cutting out the end slats in that like a hollow core door.
Though, to touch on a hollow core door, one can still cut out the slat filler and reuse it when shortening the door. I've done this often with several doors to fit in smaller openings.
Sorry, "hollow" not what intended -- even exterior fiberglass and metal doors aren't solid past the edges...they'll have foam core or similar insulating material but that's not sufficient for a finished edge...
