Lok-N-Logs

Greetings all, A question to a few contractors out there.

Friends purchased a kit by Lok-N-Logs about 4 years ago.

The home was never built and the logs are stacked up there.

They have been exposed to the elements - sun, snow, rain for the past four years.

Can the logs still be used in the construction of a home?

Thank you. Eddy

Sounds like a question for the kit mfr.

Depends on the locale of the storage & the logs current condition

were stacked neatly such that they didn't warp? No dry rot? Surface conditon?

If kept dry & away from soil wood can last a very long time.

cheers Bob

I'm not familiar with that brand, but why do you ask? obviously if they are rotted or warped they are trash. otherwise use them. They will be exposed to the elements on a house too. If some were in contact with the ground, those need careful inspection.
