As well as the Candian fires, there are fires in northern Minnesota that are affecting Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan, and points east.

To be fair, some of the smoke is domestically sourced. From Minnesota and perhaps Wisconsin.

Today's air quality ("very unhealthy) is better than yesterday's ("hazardous"). Tomorrow's is predicted to be better still (merely "unhealthy for sensitive groups").

I don't have fresh air intake, except what happens naturally in an older house. We've been limiting our use of exhaust fans in a effort to keep the outside, outside.

The HVAC filter is due for a change, but we decided to wait a few days.

I washed mine just before the crap hit - and we have kept the house locked up pretty tight so not much infiltration. I will check it in another week or so again.

My truck was all sticky Wednesday morning. I washed it expecting to head out to "the pond" at Baden for the cruise night which was cancelled - and it's all coated with sticky dirt again (by Thursday noon already) so imagine what we were breathing!!!! We need a good rain to scrub the air clean - but also good enough to rinse all the crud off that gets washed out of the air!!!Hopefully the air is clear in Minden next week - supposed to get some rain.
