As I age, my bowels dont work as well. Sometimes I cant get to the bathroom toilet in time. I decided the solution is to put a toilet right in the middle of my bed. Cutting a hole in the mattress should not be hard, but how do I attach the toilet to the mattress and how do I connect the plumbing?

Just dig a hole, like an outhouse. Go to a depth appropriate to your years, so you won't have to empty it.

You can't afford a plumber and you're willing and able to cut a hole in a mattress, lift and move an 80-lb. toilet and plumb both a supply line and drain pipe, BUTT you can't shuffle off to the bathroom as soon as your body signals the inevitable. What a quitter! Just put a bucket with a lid, if you think you can manage, next to the bed. That's pig-boy enough and you can deteriorate into a worthless slug just as fast.
