How do the full-size tire inflators like

with the newer style that are much smaller.

It's hard to believe the smaller ones are as good, work as quickly, etc. I've recommended the one above on another list but if the newer style is as good (and smaller) or better, I should correct my recommendation when people are stiil reading the thread.

The most important specification is not listed. CFM

They give the noise level, they give a very high max pressure many times higher than you need, but nothing about how fast it will inflate compared to other.

I had a big expensive high pressure "truck" inflator back when I towed a camper and that critter was noisy and SLOWWWWW!!! I now carry a small portable that is quieter and faster asnd smaller - because it has less air in the case. The actual compressor unit is almost identical in sizem and it has a programmable auto shut-off so I can set it, attach it, and walk away from it until the programmed pressure is reached . And oh yes, less than 1/3 the price of the big slow one - anf it has a built-in battery - - - -

Does that thing have a make and model number, by chance? It sounds interesting.

.It does but it's in the back of the Kia, it's cold out, and I'm not the most mobile after my surgery (although doing VERY WELL.) Similar to the "AVID POWER Tire Inflator Portable Air " on Amazon.com for $66

That's good enough for me. I wouldn't go outside, either, if I lived there. Fortunately, I live where it doesn't snow or even get cold.

When I had shoulder surgery 43 years ago around December 1, I spent all of December inside. When I went for a follow-up appointment, the guy waiting with me to see the same doctor had gone out on New Years Eve, even though his surgery was 2 weeks later than mine. He was a well-built good-looking guy. I felt like a wimp, until he finished his story. He'd slipped on the snow and before he could control it, landed on his extended arms. He was there to find out if he had ruined his surgery. I asked him when his appointment was over and he said the doctor didn't know. He had to wait until he healed and then see if his shoulder was fixed or not. I no longer felt like a wimp.

Take care of yourself, Clare.

Thls is the kind of one I'm suspicious about, cordless,

Surely one that plugs into the cig lighter is more reliable and has output for a longer time than anything that relies only a rechargeable battery.

Only about the 3rd day that feels like "fall" up here - only the

3rd? hard frost. The leaves are finally almost all down. Finally seeing daily highs in the low single digits - 7-14C instead of the 20s.

Going to feel like fall here this weekend. High temperature predicted is 79.
