I have maple kitchen cabinets and am thinkin of grey washing them. Anyone have some insightful advice?

I never heard about grey-washing.
Will it show the grain more?
Grey Washing seems to be a really good idea, you can check some really good images on Pinterest. Also, you will have to take care while using light shade as the possibility of staining is high in kitchen.
