I went in and asked what chemicals I needed to strip a solid stain off a
He told me to use mildew remover, deck stripper and brightner. I questioned
the order, as it seemed to me that stripper should come before mildew
remover, but he said he was right the first time.
Well, the stripper didn't work very well, but it softened it a bit, and I
got the finish off with a pressure washer more easily that if I hadn't used
anything. I contacted Behr. They said that stripper comes first, but their
stripper won't work on a solid stain. That explained my poor results.
I took the email into HD and asked for a refund on the mildew remover. They
voluntarily gave me credit for the stripper as well.
Okay, it doesn't compensate me for the lost time, but it seems reasonable.
