Good Exterior Latex Paint For Seattle Area

Our climate is mild, and moist in the winter.

Our painter says all the paints are good, and recommends Miller, a local producer, with whom I am sure he has a good discount.

His bid includes only a small portion of the total for paint, and I think it would be a good investment to spend more for the best paint.

Benjamin Moore sez there is a reason why they are priced higher and have been in business for so long, and we like their interior paint.

Consumer Report likes California, which I know nothing about, and I often find their reviews skewed in a direction which I find picky.

Which companies would you recommend looking into?

I know every one is biased, but I would appreciate your ideas.

Thanks very much.

I'd check w/ the painter's references and see how his recommendation has worked in the area.

Many of the local manufacturers have excellent products; I'd not assume BM or any of the others are necessarily any better.

For example, there was a local where I was in VA who made most excellent paints including some that were branded for other recognized names.
