No, but a µW oven that lasted 20 years was also not following the rules. That's impressive endurance. Be happy :-)

I once bought 2 ICs from an electronics store (not RS this time) for a school project. The man behind the counter couldn't figure out how much to charge for such a small quantity and he just said "have a nice day".

When I opened my brother's mw, it was on the circuit board probably. A glass fuse.

BTW, late last night, I reviewed the oven on the GE page for that model, and said it only lasted 22 months. Said I was disappointed, especially since it is a name brand. This morning they approved the review for publication, and today at 1;30 EDT they emailed me the same email that the guy whose oven lasted for 21 months got. "Response from [a first name] · GE_Appliances: We want to assist you with the oven. Know that an agent will be reaching out by email to provide a better service to you. Please feel free to keep an eye out for that and get back to us when you can". So I won't be opening the oven or buying a new one until I hear from them. But it only took about 12 hours to get this, so things are moving along.

I probably can't find the receipt but I can find all the emails they sent at the time, and probably the entry for the credit card.

Everything would be perfect if they'd written "writing you" instead of "reaching out to you.".

It's excellent that they are recycling beer cans. We need more of that.
