I have a flat asphalt roof about 25ft by 25ft. Needs one leak patched
Will roofing tars dissolve plastic tarpaulins and nylon window screening used to reinforce such repairs? No hot tar, just what I see at Lowe's and Home Depot in 5 gallon metal buckets. Perhaps this does not come in a plastic bucket because the plastic bucket would dissolve into the tar?
Could I use a 5ft x 5 ft piece cut from a plastic tarpaulin? My plan is to first apply Black Jack=AE 6230 Fibered Plastic Roof Cement Wet or Dry Surface

THEN TO: Slap that tarpaulin piece onto it, then trowel some more Black Jack=AE 6230 on top of that

(Could I reinforce such applications with aluminum window screen material?)Any advice appreciated
