We have a brick wall over a roof. Wall was replaced and roof flashing was saved but the counter flashing that attached to the brick wall was lost. Initial installer did a lousy job on counterflashing and went high which makes it look wavey or rippled. Shows every bulge in flashing below it. We took that off and new roofer tried it again but had to go same height because roofing cement could not be removed from new brick wall. Really ticks me off that the initial roofer did not follow directions and now we are stuck with his high height for flashing. In any case the replacement is much better but still shows some ripples. Thinking about trying again if someone has a suggestions on how to get it smooth looking like the original shorter counter flashing.
