Why don't I see more dehumidifiers on the market that are bigger than a shelf size. The ones that I do see small and measure capacity in ounces while the Freon based units measure there capacity in pints.
If the Petite refrigeration effect is so much more efficient, why don't we see more products using if for the refrigeration component ?
Refrigerators, dehumidifiers, coolers ...

All look like a waste of money. How can anybody be stupid enough to pay a $100 for something that blows air over ice cubes and says it can cool your whole room?
There are bigger dehumidifiers, sounds like you know that. Those mini ones, AFAIK, use Peltier effect technology instead of a refrigerant. Consequently the capacity is limited and when you need a larger capacity, it no longer makes sense.
