covering over some holes in plastic/vinyl siding

Jul 16, 2018 3 Replies

twenty five year old house with vinyl siding.

Yeah, it's drying out but most is ok.

But... there are a bunch of places that were bumped against during moving or construction that have small holes, say up to one half by two inches.

Suggestions as to patch material that'll hold up another few years until we do a full scale upgrade?

Thanks

Do you have any matching siding that could be glued over the holes, or are you starting from scratch?

From scratch.

Color and appearance doesn't matter too much as long as it's not glaring...

Thanks

I think Lowes and/or Home Depot sell odd pieces of vinyl siding. Some sort of clear tape maybe?
