I have a Homelite "Super 2" chainsaw, which got very hard to crank - probably due to "hydraulic lock". (Note to self: RTFM). After clearing that, the engine cranks and runs fine, but the chain isn't getting oiled.
The pressure line is (now) clear. IIRC, it did have oil in it. I don't know if the pump is working. I'll try to feel that, if it's still not oiling after I put it back together.
Before putting it back together, I'd like to see if the outlet line is plugged. I can blow through the hoses OK. But, there's a passage through the crankcase that I can't blow through (mouth pressure only). Does anyone know if there's a check valve in this line? Or, better, is there a test for it being plugged? I don't want to over pressure anything.
... Or any other helpful hints.
TIA, George
