I've never analyzed the data but sometimes the stars on the product seem to be slanted toward the high side when you read the actual reviews. Not that Amazon would stack the deck...
That may be natural though. I've had very few products that I was dissatisfied with. So if it is as it was advertised, good quality, and does what I want it to do, is that 5 stars. or maybe 4 or 3 because it should have been better than I expected it to be?
BTW, this radio that I'm disappointed in does have many good features, just not the ones I really want.
So I again went looking for an internet radio, and I have to read the manual to know if Ill like it or not (doesn't seem to have preset buttons right on the cabinet) but I posted because of the incredible differences in price:
Amazon has it for $400, Walmart for 357, and Slowood for $918!!!!!
Over 500 more than the other two. Unbelievable.
It's manufactured by someone who used the reputation of the name bell+howell in order to leverage brand name reputation.
"Since 2010, the brand name has been licensed for a variety consumer electronics products."
I expect that's happened to a lot of them. I know of RCA and Polaroid. Going by brand name is no longer a way of being sure you're getting something good.
