Suddenly a year old Bosch dishwasher stopped working. It was installed by Sears and the guy worked very carefully and cleanly. Notwithstanding, the problem turned out to be a burnt and melted wirenut where he connected thedishwasher to the housewiring. An easy fix for a change and something to check always when an appliance goes completely dead. Looks like the wires never got twisted properly in the nut. Either that or the twisted portion broke off. Hard to tell why it happened.

For some reason, this happens on about 1 out of every 6 Bosch dishwashers that I see. Bosch using lighter wires might contribute to it?? Or just sloppy installation?? jeff Appliance Repair Aid
