5 Types of Greens to Plant in the Fall

▫️Parsley. Winter sowing ensures early and friendly shoots in the spring. The strengthened greens can be cut off already in June. In the fall, the beds are prepared in advance, cutting furrows at intervals of 20-25 cm.

▫️Cilantro. The seedlings are resistant to frosts down to

-10°C. The seeds are deepened by 1–1.5 cm, leaving 25–30 cm between the furrows.

▫️Leaf salad. The seedlings of this crop can withstand spring temperature fluctuations from +2°C to -2°C. For planting, furrows are cut at intervals of 30–40 cm and the seeds are planted to a depth of 2 cm. Sown in the fall, the salad will be ready for consumption by May.

▫️Spinach. It is planted in two stages: in the second half of September - for the autumn growth of the rosette, and in November - so that the shoots appear in the spring after frosts.

▫️Dill. It sprouts at a temperature of +3°C, so it is sown when the weather is steadily cold: 0…+2°C during the day, 2…-3°C at night. After sowing, the bed is mulched with sand or peat.

Over winter is cheating!!!! :-)

I like this one. But I have never got parsley to sprout. Maybe they have, I also have an earwig proble and they love parsley sprouts.

YUK! Cilantro tastes like gasoline!!! And my wife is deadly allergic to it. Two steps and you are dead. literally!

Freaking earwigs destroyed the last time I tried. I am relegated to buying it from teh store. Organic Girls makes the best around these parts.

Hmmmm. Maybe, if I can get the earwigs to back off.

Yuk!

I have over wintered onions and garlic. Been successful with green, bunching, and yellow onions. My garlic crop always fails

They'd love posting like this.

Look up msc/tilt. This is not genetic, but loss of tolerance caused by prolonged poisoning with allopathic drugs. Cilantro contains gasoline, just like eucalyptus.

I could not find anything about that. Gasoline is a refined byproduct of oil. Please show us how plants can do that.

Google search" No, eucalyptus doesn't contain gasoline, but it can be used to produce biofuels that are similar to gasoline:

Eucalyptus oil Eucalyptus oil can be used as a fuel and has a high octane rating. However, production costs are too high to make it economically viable.

msc/tilt?

Benzene similar to gasoline. Happy?

The japaneese did something similar in WW2

Ooops, I reversed some letters: mcs/tilt

Then you should have said benzine. Accuracy matters.

Benzene is a chemical substance that's a component of gasoline, but the two have different compositions and uses:

Composition Benzene is a single chemical compound, while gasoline is a mixture of hydrocarbons. Benzene is a colorless or light-yellow liquid at room temperature.

Uses Benzene is used as a solvent in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, and as a starting material for many other chemicals. It's also used to make plastics, synthetic fibers, rubber lubricants, dyes, detergents, drugs, and pesticides. Gasoline is primarily used as a motor fuel in combustion engines
