I'm planning on moving a small tree this weekend. Does anyone know if this is a good time of year to do it? Any tips?

what kind of tree?
Deciduous tree? Where do you live?
I decided not to move the tree this year and see if I can live with the space for now. Thanks... I'm in the southern zone btw.
