Just wanted to let you know that the NuCalgon water specialist, Sherwin Stoorman, will be doing a seminar on water treatment at the RSD on W. Weldon here, March 29. It includes breakfast, is free, and our weather is in the sixties and seventies.

Thanks for the info, Vicki...
Unfortunately, on short-notice and as busy as we are here.... it wouldn't be possible for me to make that seminar. It's my loss, I'm sure.
First off, Julie and I would jump at the opportunity to come out that way.. we'd love to retire there someday.
Secondly, I use the NuCalgon stuff and whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone with cooling tower troubles. The NuCalgon folks are a fount of knowledge, and Sherwin is well know within the company as very good.
We've done 4 biggie-size towers now with Variable-speed complete retros (fan, spray pump, main pump modules) and tower performance is critical in every single install. NuCalgon has helped a lot with that... whether it be chemical injection, automatic bleeding, or the old "I haven't been maintained in years" shock treatment for towers. NuCalgon stuff works.
Our first VFD project is now saving the client more than $4,000 per month. Total project cost was about $50k.
That's a pretty good payback, I think.
Thanks again, Vicki, for getting me acquainted with the folks at NuCalgon.
Next time we're headed to Az. I'll ping Ya (-;.
