I bought a venus flytrap. I wonder if I can keep it near window during the winter or must I put it in a dark place all the time?

It MUST go dormant, I.E. temps around 40 degrees F. until around valentine's day.
Does that mean no light and no water or what?

Barely moist soil, no light is fine since it's dormant.
