How do I STOP walnut from producing fruit?

Does anyone out there have any idea how to PREVENT a walnut tree from producing fruit? I have built a deck around the tree and after last fall I am just about ready to set the tree on fire. The squirrels are ranning havoc on the tree and dropping fruit to the ground and the deck. Its was a total fiasco last year with stains, husks, etc. Rather than killing the three, is there any way to stop it from fruiting?

Thank you!

It's what walnut trees do. Most people would be delighted with a walnut tree. It's the difference between living in a city apartment and being fortunate to have a piece of ground and a walnut tree on it.

Walnut trees are nice if you never want to use the ground around them for anything else, too.

However, you might want to talk to a tree specialist. I think there is something you can spray on trees when they are blooming to kill the buds/fruit.

You don't like squirrels? No nuts, no squirrels. I'd rather watch our squirrels than TV.
