I purchased a Redwood Stain made be Akzo Noble Paints and was wondering is the stain water based or not. I read the can's label and can not find if it is water based or not. I want to put Thompson's water sealant mixed in with the stain before I paint, want to do 2 things at once instead of applying the stain then the water sealant. Thompson's water sealant says not to mix if the stain is water based. I want to stain my redwood patio furniture.
