I have a free standing fire place which i chsnged to a pellet stove insert now i would like to change to gas logs the fire place was vented thru roof which is now covered with new roof the insert was vented out the wall can this be done
Maybe. You need to determine the size and type of the current vent and then read the installation standards for the fireplace you want to buy and see if they are compatible.
I would also like to know the answer to this question because I am in the same situation. My friend uses gas logs and he absolutely loves them. Hopefully he will be able to show me how he does what he does. I want to switch over to gas logs before it gets too cold here. My wife always wants it to be extremely warm in our house and I think that this will be out best option.
