What rate of germination should I expect from globe artichoke seeds? I am getting about 5%, is this normal or have I got a bad batch of seed?

not sure, but cardoon (same species, different variety) always had about 50% efficiency for me, from three different packets, two different companies. One company warns that in fact some seeds were sterile, due to genetics.
