Just looked it up on Weather site, Harris Cty, TX, includes Houston and
us: 70.5 inches of rain this past year. I remember one in, I think June,
where there was 12 inches of rain in two days, several folks were killed
in flash floods around the area. Some dumb enough to drive off in an
underpass. I don't remember any other years without hurricanes where we
had that much rain. Rain did well for our raised bed gardens in 2015 but
we had to keep adding compost to the mix as the good stuff washed out
onto the lawn. Had to mow the backyard every week for awhile.
Got a cold snap today, might be a light freeze by morning.
