I am thinking about getting a WorkMate thingy. Very casual use only, doesn't have to Black and Decker.
Any Recommendations?

Test for opening, closing and being steady; then buy the cheapest.

As other replies but also look for one with ply worktop rather than chipboard or mdf - they can break easily. Also if looking in-store do the clamps up tight and check the two halves of the worktop stay level with each other and don't bow up under pressure. David
