Replacement Drill

Jul 03, 2006 3 Replies

My trusty Bosch drill just about caught fire tonight whilst trying to drill through some metal box section, smoke started to come out the back & it started to smell quite badly. So recommendations please as a replacement general household work, but fairly heavy usage. Just looked at a few websites & there are 100's to choose from.

Cheers in advance

It may be worth finding out how much it would cost to be repaired/replaced.

Choose cheapies..from Wickes for something like 25quid.

1/2" chuck minimum with hammer action and maybe electronic variable speed as well as the usual 2 speed gearbox. Something with a rating of 600W or so.

Sounds like you need a Tooltec 850 watt pneumatic hammer drill, due in at Netto on Monday 10th July. Includes a carry case, 3 drill bits and 2 chisels for £19.99.
