Is it OK to connect the cistern to the cold water pipe with a flexible tap connector. Also the pan will sit on the floor boards and screws down do I bed it down with anything where it sits on the boards Thank you for any help.

To bed toilet down, i used a little plummers mait between the pan and the floor boards. This will stop the slight creaking/cracking sound while pan is being sat on.sat on !
Yes use a flexi tap with a built in isolating value.
