spray cleaner used on self cleaning oven (2023 Update)

Grandma sprayed my year old self cleaning Whirlpool convection oven and went to bed .. the next morning the oven interior seems damaged beyond repair .. is it still safe to use and would the self clean function still work? Is there a way to get a replacement oven interior to restore it to like new?

I have the same problem. My tenant's cleaning woman sprayed oven cleaner in the self cleaning oven in the tenant's apartment. The interior of the oven now is now a discolored gray/white. Is it possible to restore the original finish???

If your oven has been damaged by the cleaner, it's possible that it may no longer be safe to use, as the damage could affect the operation of the oven. Additionally, the self-cleaning function may not work as intended. I would advise against using the oven until you've had a professional inspect it to assess the extent of the damage and determine whether it's still safe to use.

As for replacement parts, you can check with the manufacturer or a certified repair specialist to see if they carry replacement oven interiors for your specific model. They may also be able to repair the existing interior if the damage is limited
