Oil leakage from the suction pipe

Aug 26, 2012 2 Replies

There had been oil leaking from the suction pipe every time. And then the outer hvac unit shuts down and there's no air. Technician tried to figure out the leak and this is the fourth time he fixed it but the leakage starts again. This has started to happen a year after we reap laced the whole system. I do not understand where the problem could be??

Does he have to add refrigerant to the system? If so and the line has oil on it there is a leak in the system. I think you are refering to the air handler section of the system. When you see oil on a line it is usually a leak in the high side of the system which is the small line.
