SF Bay Area Woodworking Open House

MT. DIABLO ADULT EDUCATION HOLDS ANNUAL "WELCOME TO WOODSHOP" OPEN HOUSE.

Potential students can learn to love power and hand tools in a special free introduction to woodworking classes.

July 28, 2003 - Pleasant Hill, CA. Old hands, curious novices and rank beginners can learn about the joys of woodworking first hand at the Mt. Diablo Adult Education's annual "Introduction to Woodworking" open house.

Students can tour the state of the art facility, meet instructors, get class details, learn all about woodworking and get their questions answered by instructors and students at this fun, informative open house.

Mt. Diablo Adult Education has been famous for over 25 years for having both the best woodworking workshop in Northern California and for their vast curriculum of woodworking classes. They offer everything from beginner's woodworking to making picture frames to home repair to furniture making to toy making and making grandfather clocks. Students at all skill levels enjoy the program and over 200 attend every year.

"First time woodworkers are encouraged to take our classes and this open house is the perfect way to find out more." Says Jeff Traeger, Instructor, Mt. Diablo Adult Education. "We don't want anyone to be intimidated. We have seasoned pros as students, students who have never touched a power tool and people in between at our classes. Our program is designed to help all levels of students in a fun and safe environment".

"I'd always wanted to learn about woodworking," says Susan Stuart, student at the program. "I was pleased to see that not only is the class very friendly to beginners, but over half of the class were women! I've made a stool, a table and a yard bench. Right now, I'm working on new patio furniture! Plus I've made lots of new friends."

The Open House will be held on 23rd from 10:00 to 3:00 at the Mt. Diablo Education Center and will include tours, demonstrations, doorprizes, refreshments and also a drawing for a free class. The Open House is free and all interested parties are encouraged to drop in at any time.
