rain leaking under plactic door

Our plastic front door is "leaking" rain (a damp patch) under the sill, The cement is in large part missing or loose. Tissue becoming damp/wet when pushed into the gaps. Will replacing the cement stop this or is there further action needed?

Further action is needed. once you've pointed the gap up with strong sand/cement, it needs to be left to dry, (and I do mean dry, not 'set') then... ..you need to blast some silicone under there, (about £2 at B&Q), and run a wet finger along to smooth it out, you may as well run a bead of silicone along the inside as well, where the bottom of the cill meets the floor.

three dashes.

Many thanks, its a job that will have to be done when the weather is better!

He wants to know if just replacing the mortar will be enough or if additional sealing will be required. A bit of silicone once the mortar has set and dried along the exterior mortar/frame/sill joint wouldn't go a miss. Leave or make a small (3mm or so) groove for this when finishing the mortar. I wouldn't silicone the inside, if anything does get in it needs to get out...

He he... Chicken, egg. Egg, chicken?
