Boiler Choice

Hello again!

Does anyone have experience of a Remeha Avanta Plus boiler?

I was planning on installing a Vaillant Ecotech Plus 837, but have been recommended (by a supplier) a Remeha Avanta Plus 35c. it seems to be cheaper, and has a five year warranty on the heat exchanger and two year warranty on all other parts with the exception of the ignition/ionisation electrode.

Thanks for any comments!

I did the same procedure that you are going down two years ago and my comments may be of small use to you. They will be corrected by others if appropriate.

Remeha and Vaillant are international boiler makers of repute but Vaillant are stronger in this country and well regarded, along with Worcester-Bosch.

Advice given by a supplier may be seriously influenced by the discounts they are getting for pushing a particular boiler. :))

The most important thing is the local likes of the plumbing population in your area. To have it maintained you have to find a plumber that knows the boiler. Most are not interested in "foreign" boilers.

"Home" boilers are simply ones that they are familiar with. In this area, (North Bristol), that would be Vaillant followed by Worcester-Bosch. So there is no problem in getting service for either of these makes. Anything else meets a silence on the phone when ringing to talk about them.
