The person who had the house before me put a rug on the floorin the kitchen. Nateraly it got filthy. Under was sheet Vinyl Which now has circular ridges of glue covering it. The Vinyl is fixed to the floor with a black adhesive and is not going to come up without extreme work. The solvents/paint removers I have seen advise that they damage vinyl. I tried hand sanding then using a palm sander and it would take me a looong time to do it this way.
What is the best way to remove the glue?
I am selling the house soon and dont want to spend a fortune but I dont want to screw the buyer. I had planed to put medium grade viny tile down to replace the rug.
