Another painting question

Any tips on painting coving edge?

Just painted white a room ceiling including ceiling coving. Made a bit of a pigs ear of painting the narrow lower edge of the coving..missed bits and some paint wandered onto the top of the wall...failing eyes and unsteady hand!...wall painting (magnolia) to be commenced in a couple of days so perhaps the excess paint can be covered.

So just wondered if others have any advice..including 1. What would be the usual when painting - have bottom edge of ceiling coving same colour as coving or same as wall (thinking about attempting to cover the iffy white edge with wall paint when do wall)? 2.How to paint the bottom edge of coving without getting the paint on the adjacent surfaces.

Thanks, John

Paint the (white?) ceiling over the coving and onto the wall, ie ignore the wall/coving line. When painting the wall edge to the coving line.

Dont assume that a small brush should be used for the edging. A larger, say

2 or 3 inch brush holding more paint will allow longer lines making for tidier edging. P
