I need a source for 8/4 butternut for seats 10" or so wide. Who carries it? Tuckaway is closed for 7-8 months.

Elm is the traditional seat material because it is virtually unsplitable ....mjh
It certainly is in Britain, but is this also true in the US ?
I use basswood.
