What has replaced nitro lacquer.

What has replaced nitrocellulose lacquer as the most common furniture finish?

Thanks in advance Denny B

Variety.

When nitrocellulose was in use, it was pretty much the only high-speed finish possible. Now there's thousands of the things. There hasn't been a straight swap over to "Boggin's No.4 nitro-substitute pre-catalysed acrylic"

Although pre-catalysed acrylics probably are the nearest.
