Router Plate Installation

Question: How exact does one have to be when centering the router over the router plate cut out and screwing it to the plate?

As long as the largest bit (usually 3-1/2") won't hit the edges, you are "close enough". It does not have to be accurate to 1 gnat's ass.

If you are going to use guide bushings in the plate, you need to be right on. I saw an alignment tool some place that sets it up for you. wasn't very expensive

Rich

Unless your plate takes guide busshings.
