LOL. Al thought followed with a Question mark, the title reads more like a statement. ;~)
A good fire will usually do the job (but don't breath the fumes -- the glue is nasty).
Wallpaper is slightly less work.
The 'halfway decent' goal is a low bar, ... but if you need to do it TWICE you've definitely got a bad plan
