Festool, in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada, is recalling certain TS 55 REQ plunge cut track saws. Under certain circumstances, the Fast-Fix plunge lock may engage when not intended, and the saw blade may remain exposed from the housing. This can pose a laceration hazard to the user. If you have a TS 55 REQ Plunge Cut Track Saw, please discontinue use immediately and contact us at 1-855-784-9727 to submit your repair request. This recall only applies to the Festool TS 55 REQ (561556) sold in the U.S. and Canada between May 1, 2013 and July 31, 2013. Please ensure that your saw is labeled TS 55 REQ.
