Hope someone can help - have a Cummins #3253 Woodturning Lathe that does not appear to have any way to align the head stock and tail stock. The instructions mention a set screw 'in the back of the head stock that secures the bed', but there is no set screw. I could probably adjust vertical alignment somehow with shims and possibly using a square in some fashion. Horizontal alignment would be a bear.
Does anyone have any suggestions (other than buying something of better quality)?
