A Craftsman table saw model, sold exclusively by Sears, has been recalled for injury hazards, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Tuesday.

The 10-inch portable saw -- Craftsman model number 137.415030 -- comes with a black metal foldable stand that "can collapse unexpectedly, posing laceration and impact injury hazards to the operator," the agency said. About 46,000 units are being recalled.

Sears couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

Sears "has received 11 reports of the table saw collapsing, including nine reports of injuries to fingers and hands, including broken bones, lacerations, a shoulder strain, and a partial fingernail amputation," the CPSC said.

The saw was manufactured by Rexon Industrial Corp. of Taiwan. "Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled table saws and contact Rexon for a free replacement stand," the agency said.

Rexon couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

After owning the Craftsman brand for decades, Sears, based in Hoffman Estates, Ill., agreed in January to sell it to Stanley Black & Decker for about $900 million.
